Picked this book up at the library on the new releases shelf。 However, it’s a novice traveler book that explains how to rent a car, board flight and pack “your parental patience”。。。what?! And then goes into traveling internationally; this people need domestic info! For best beaches, it didn’t include Florida or Caribbean。 What about St。 John’s Trunk Bay, Destin’s 30A, Clearwater?! Not number 1 South Carolina with brown water; wasn’t even Kiawah! Would have loved to see profiles/stops/routes for Picked this book up at the library on the new releases shelf。 However, it’s a novice traveler book that explains how to rent a car, board flight and pack “your parental patience”。。。what?! This family travel handbook from Lonely Planet has been such a helpful resource for me as I'm beginning to book more adventurous trips with my kids。 The book is divided into eight sections covering: planning; transit; trips for different age groups; the benefits of staying outdoors; different levels of "challenge," i。e。, staycations vs。 round the world trips; and lots of Top Ten lists (e。g。, top destinations for tweens and teenagers, top places for a trip that makes a difference, top budget dest This family travel handbook from Lonely Planet has been such a helpful resource for me as I'm beginning to book more adventurous trips with my kids。 The book is divided into eight sections covering: planning; transit; trips for different age groups; the benefits of staying outdoors; different levels of "challenge," i。e。, staycations vs。 round the world trips; and lots of Top Ten lists (e。g。, top destinations for tweens and teenagers, top places for a trip that makes a difference, top budget destinations, top beach destinations, etc。)。What I love most about the book is that it's accessible to a wide range of explorers。 It offers tips for many different travel comfort levels。 I'm a newbie, but I don't feel shamed or overwhelmed by this guide。 I feel inspired。 It's also helped me realize that there are SO MANY options out there, and there's no doubt in my mind that I can find one that works best for my family for where we are right now。I want to add that the book is aesthetically very easy to read。 Lots of colorful pictures and action lists。 Even my kids have looked at the book with me and stayed engaged。 It's been a really great resource and conversation starter for us。 。。。more

An amazing book that inspires me to pack my family's suitcases and just finally explore the world instead of always just to stay in our area where we live! It got me so inspired that I started planning our future trips。The book has great, informative chapters on how to plan your trip, how to travel with your infant/ toddler/ teenager, mentions different cities and countries and what to see and do and so much more! It is an easy and quick read and I will definitely refer to it many times。 An amazing book that inspires me to pack my family's suitcases and just finally explore the world instead of always just to stay in our area where we live!
